It's great to be back in my hometown Weed, CA. I went from small town Altus Oklahoma to small town CA. Call me biased but Weed has Altus beat hands down! The biggest differences are the weather and the scenery. Weed has snow and mountains where Altus has flat farmland and not much more than a drop of rain in the past couple of months. Check out my Dad plowing the driveway with fresh snow falling. That's Mt Shasta in the background of the Weed arch. There are a couple hills in OK that they call mountains. The third picture is of the Quartz Mt's near Altus.

The night before my flight out of Oklahoma I wanted to get a massage. My flight training at Altus was very stressful to say the least. You don't have to be state certified as a masseuse in Oklahoma. So when I told my taxi driver he was taking me for a massage he's thinking that's code for a "happy ending" to this so called massage. I ended up at this ladies residential house where she had a massage table set up in the spare bedroom. At first I thought the taxi had taken me to the wrong place. Apparently this lady had moved into her sister's place because the sister had gotten sick, and unfortunately the sister had died only a few days ago. This made for awkward massage small talk besides the fact that I'm in some random house! Although, she gave me a decent massage and I wasn't looking for any other types of relaxation. The subject never came up. The morale of the story is make sure you know what you're getting into as far as massages go in Oklahoma or anywhere for that matter.
